Double Dark Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Happy Thanksgiving EVE! So last night was my first attempt at making chocolate cookies, and they turned out really well! My fiance loves dark chocolate and he requested that I make some chocolate cookies..so I did!

Pumpkin Pie

I'll start by saying yes, this pie does taste as good as it looks. =) I wanted to try out a different pumpkin pie recipe before Thanksgiving (which is in 6 days!) You can see the first pumpkin pie I made here. The recipe I used this time is a little different with a lot more flavor. It turned out great, especially with my homemade whipped cream and homemade crust. =)

Peanut Butter Nutella No-Bakes

I attended a baby shower for my aunt and future cousin this last weekend and I made some cookies for the occasion. I decided to make (extra crunchy) Peanut Butter Nutella No-Bakes!

Pumpkin Fun!

One of my favorite Fall traditions is to carve a pumpkin while watching the movie "The Nightmare Before Christmas". Of course we bake some tasty pumpkin seeds too! Here is our adorable kitty Nutella seeing a pumpkin for the first time. She was very curious, it was too cute!

A friend of mine asked me to make cake pops for a colleague's Birthday and of course I said I'd do it! I decided to make two different kinds: Funfetti and Dark Chocolate!

Perfectly Spiced Pumpkin Pie

Fall starts tomorrow! I wanted to test out a few pies before the Holidays, the first pie I made was a Caramel Apple Pecan Pie and it was absolutely delicious. Pumpkin pie is pretty simple to make, it's just a little tough getting the right amount of spices that you like. I wanted a little more spice, so I simply sprinkled some pumpkin spice and nutmeg over the pie and homemade whipped cream which gave it more flavor and made it look pretty. =)

Turkey Sandwich and Tomato Soup

I went out to lunch today and had the most amazing food! I had a smoked turkey breast sandwich with roasted red pepper and rustic Italian bread! This is by far one of my favorite sandwiches.

Trip to the ocean

Every year...well for the past 3 years my boyfriend and I have gone on a kite trip. We try to go to a different place each year. It's funny, on our 1st annual kite trip we drove to our destination and stayed for 1 night. We slept in the car, which was not the most comfortable but we made it fun by making a fort with the blankets we brought. Our 2nd kite trip we camped out and slept in a tent. This year, we spent two nights in a pretty nice hotel RIGHT on the beach! It was really nice, they even had a pool/hot tub which was very relaxing. Hope you enjoy the pics as much as we enjoyed our trip! =) 

Lemon Drops

It was hot out, I was thirsty and I love lemons..SO I decided to make lemon drops. =)

Caramel Apple Pecan Pie! Test # 1

So my favorite time of the year is coming up quickly, Autumn! It's in 19 days. I wanted to make a test pie before the Holidays since I've never made one before. Of course the one I chose to make might just be the most difficult time consuming (delicious) pie ever. Oh well! I am quite proud of this pie since it was indeed my first time ever making one! It took a good chunk out of my day but was totally worth it! =) This post has three parts...you will see that I made pie crust, pie filling and homemade whipped cream!

Banana Bread with cinnamon and pumpkin spice

Once I discovered how to make banana bread, I also discovered just how much I love it! It's really quite simple to make, and the end result is so tasty...anytime of the day!
